The brainchild of Europe’s largest vintage wholesaler and Britain’s biggest vintage fair, The Vintage Kilo Sale returns this season, bringing the mother of all vintage events to Oxford.
Founded in 2009, the formula for the Kilo is a simple one; 3 tonnes of vintage is yours to peruse, rummage through and pick out what you fancy, take it to the scales and pay just £15 per kilo, whatever gems you’ve found! Offering a window into wholesale life, the event lets shoppers play trader for a day, by simply paying per weight. With an average of 3-4 items per kilo, bag yourself a whole new outfit with change for a twenty! Shop menswear and ladieswear, denim and dresses, jumpers and tees at an event championed by Stylist, Timeout and the London Evening Standard as a revolutionary new way to shop!
In a time of financial crisis, The Vintage Kilo team understand that buying bulk may not be everyone’s cup of tea; all items can also be bought individually with dresses, shirts, jumpers and tees all available for less than a tenner
A popular choice with thrifters and designers, The Vintage Kilo Sale is a regular event in east London where it sees over 1,000 shoppers over the 5 hour opening period. Also touring to Leeds and Edinburgh, all at Team Kilo cannot wait to bring the event to Oxford. Offering an economical yet exciting way to shop the big A/W trends such as heritage, dark romance and of course the 1990s, founder Judy Berger calls it ‘taking retro to its roots.’ Acknowledged by the likes of Elle, Asos and Stylist, shoppers can expect the same high standard from ‘Vintage’ festival curator, bringing vintage that’s affordable, eclectic and always ‘worth the weight.’
